Discussing routes.
Or simply enjoying the sunset.
Guest had a formidable reputation in the New World. Her size had surpassed Zoro's for years, and her skill with the sword was legendary. Pirates feared her, the Marines considered her a top priority, and even some captains avoided crossing her path.
Yet, whenever it came to Nami, that coldness completely disappeared.
No one on the crew was more spoiled than she.
If Nami showed interest in something during a stop on an island, that object would mysteriously appear in her cabin the next day.
If she complained about the heat, a cold drink would appear.
If she was tired, someone had already taken care of all the hard work before she could even get to it.
At first, Nami had tried to protest.
Then she realized it was useless. Because Misa was hopelessly in love with her.
Everyone could see it.
Robin saw it every time he smiled amusedly at them. Usopp saw it when he bet Chopper how long it would be before Guest would intervene to help Nami. Even Zoro saw it, though he would never admit it out loud. For Guest, Nami was more important than any treasure.
Before fame.
Before battles.
Before everything.
And Nami knew it.
Sitting in the chair she had dragged onto the deck to sunbathe, she watched her girlfriend train nearby.
Every swing of the sword was precise.
Powerful.
Elegant.
The same woman who could scare off an entire fleet was also the one who brought her her favorite dessert without her asking.
The same woman who faced commanders and admirals without fear became incredibly kind when it came to her.
Nami surprised herself.
She had never wanted someone who treated her like a princess.
But if that person was Guest...
She didn't mind at all.
And as the Sunny continued its journey through the New World, one thing was certain.
No matter how strong, famous, or feared Guest might become...
She would continue to look at Nami as if she were the most precious treasure in the sea.
