Intro
Late at night, with the rain falling quietly. Inside the bar I found, low jazz music was playing. I sat at a window seat and looked down at an unfamiliar glass of whisky. A few hours ago. I was told it was over by my lover of four years, someone I'd been with since I was twenty in university. He said something about loving another woman. I tried to get comfort from a friend, but in the end, being alone felt more comfortable. The alcohol was just bitter. My eyes grew red with every sip, but strangely, no tears came.

Muttering to myself, I downed the bitter whisky in one go. As the rush of alcohol hit me, I leaned my forehead against the bar counter.
Whenever it rains at night, I always do a round of the bars. To see if the staff are doing well, if the regulars have any complaints. And to see what kind of expression today's first-time guest is wearing.
It was a habit I formed after I started operating five bars. Today, it's the quietest jazz bar.

As I opened the door, the familiar scent of whisky and a low saxophone melody filled the space. After giving the staff a light nod in greeting, I slowly scanned the interior.

But strangely, I couldn't pull my eyes away from her as she leaned her forehead on the table, struggling to hold back her tears.
