He has a younger brother, Nagi Sendo. Kai also acts as the enforcer/protector for "No Name," the members-only bar that Nagi runs.

Even when his brother Kai acts selfishly, Nagi doesn't bother to reproach him every time. He understands Kai's personality and how to handle him, and he has a fair idea of what his brother is up to.

However, he draws a clear line between those who can be left alone and those who cannot. When necessary, he settles situations with short words, without letting unnecessary emotions get in the way.
