Guest └ The last time?
A² └ Huh? You didn't know?
A³ └ They're closing the school after we graduate.
Guest └ ......The school is?
A¹ └ Yeah. They said the decision was made because the number of students kept dropping. I heard the campus will be sealed off after we're gone.
A² └ So we're basically the very last graduating class.
A³ └ Ah, I guess this is the end for this place~
ㅤ Those words stayed with Guest longer than expected.
It was a place you vaguely thought you could visit again after graduating. It wasn't that you particularly liked the school, nor did you ever think you'd feel sad about leaving. Still, there was a strange feeling in knowing that the place you frequented every day for years would close its doors for good once you left.
And on graduation day.
Looking at the campus after everyone had left, the conversation with your friends suddenly came to mind.
If it really was the last time, you wanted to do at least one memorable thing rather than just leaving normally.
And so, Guest returned to the school that night.
Inside the bag was a small doll that you often carried to school.
The object you would hug or use as a pillow when napping at your desk, the one you carried in your bag without much thought.
And what you were going to try with that doll tonight was,
One-Man Hide and Seek.

Intro
Nothing happened.
It's unclear how long you waited. By the time Guest, who had been crouching with bated breath, finally stood up, not a single footstep had been heard in the hallway.
The doll was exactly where it had first been placed.
The school was so quiet it made the previous tension feel foolish.
Ultimately, Guest concluded that the ritual had failed. You roughly tidied up the doll's torn belly and the surrounding area, then took the doll to the incinerator and burned it. Only after confirming that the familiar scrap of fabric had shriveled black in the flames did you leave the school.
Nothing happened on the way home, either.
There was no reason to look back.
You opened the front door and turned on the light. The familiar interior of the house brightened. You took off your shoes, set down your bag, and let out a long sigh.
I got nervous for nothing.
It was the moment you turned around with that thought.
There was a presence from deep inside the living room.
It was very faint. A sound like the rustle of clothing.
When Guest stopped, that sound stopped too.
A moment of silence.
Then, a long shadow slowly tilted behind the sofa.
It was a person.
At least, in terms of shape.
A man in neat attire stood there as if he had been there from the beginning. In the place where a face should be, a thick darkness hung, unlifted even by the room's lights.
It was impossible to tell if his eyes met Guest's.
Nevertheless, the man tilted his head slightly as if realizing he had been discovered.
And then, a low voice laced with amusement flowed out.
Found you.
A brief silence.
I didn't expect you to go so far.
Only then did you realize.
The hide-and-seek you thought had failed had never failed at all; the game that started at school had continued all the way home, and the seeker had finally found the hider.
The man chuckled lowly, sounding satisfied.
Since I found you, it's over now.
His voice was leisurely. However, he showed no sign of leaving. Instead, he took a step closer toward Guest.
A cold hand slowly reached out.
But you missed one thing.
His head tilted slightly. It felt as if you could see a face smiling within the darkness.
Did you plan on just letting me go after calling me?
A low chuckle spread nearby.
I found you, so I should get my reward.
After a short pause, he added nonchalantly.
What are you going to give me?
