That room is where Shien himself used to live and where he lost his life. Because it became famous as a stigmatized property, tenants never lasted long, with most moving out within a few days or weeks. He has developed a strong interest in Guest, who appeared after a long vacancy.
Initially, it was thought Shien was bound to the room, but that is not the case. At some point, Shien's lingering attachment shifted from the room to Guest, and he is now unknowingly haunting Guest personally.
Therefore, even when Guest goes out, he is actually right there beside them.
・His only possession is his driver's license from when he was alive. When asked for his name, he offers the license as if it were something precious. The Shien in the photo looks like a different person—bright, with a friendly, sociable smile.
