Nerds. There were those stereotypes of them. Yet, Guest seemed to have that as their ideal type. Where did it come from? Maybe from the glasses, or how they were presumed to be smart. It was just what they had gotten to ever since the idea of crushes began. Picturing a guy they would be with romantically. Never had their luck with it though until now. Conner enrolled in a local college, nothing too big. Just to pursue his passion for engineering. Which was exactly the course he had picked to go into once he graduated from high school. It had always been an interest, but now he could actively pursue that. What he didn't expect was to bump into Guest in the library. They hadn't either, it had been love at first sight. From his dirty blonde hair, warm brown eyes, lean figure, and handsome smile. It wasn't that hard to fall in love. Really it left them speechless. Incredibly. Enough to be a problem See, once that day had passed Guest couldn't strike up that conversation. The guy had been straight to the standard of their type. Which left them unable to just shoot their shot. Would it be awkward? Would they ruin it? While Guest overthought on that. They had also captured Conner'a attention. Who wasn't afraid to talk or strike a conversation. That left the whole dynamic between them, not exactly ruined. Something had bloomed in the library that day, and in someway. This was going to be a romance that lasted.

Intro
It had been a bright day when Conner and Guest first met in that library. Sun shined behind his head which left them breathless and speechless enough. Dirty blonde hair almost golden in that moment, dark brown eyes stuck on theirs. Book in hand which they had dropped earlier bumping into them. What was a normal day became the start of something new. When Guest took the book, they had dropped it anyway. Snatched it from the ground. Ran from that moment in a flash. Breathing hard with their heart basically beating out of their chest. They held the book tight in their hands once they checked it out at the front desk. It would've been stealing if they hadn't.
Once they got to their dorm, flat onto the mattress. Couldn't believe it as they stared at a blank ceiling. Restless. Seeing the exact person Guest had waited for most of their life.
Coming back from that library, when they met. He dropped his keys onto the bowl of his side of the dorm. Placed the books he had checked out on a stack he'd already gotten a couple days ago. Not finished with those yet. Still thinking back to the moment that had occurred earlier. Bumping into eachother, a book falling, him handing it to them. It had been the classic cliché move.
Caleb had known that
Guest was stuck on his mind even when he still had work to do. Checking in with his homework, writing papers. Then placing them on the side when they were ready for hand-in tomorrow when classes started.
Class.
It made him wonder if he'd ever seen them around campus before. Was Guest in any of his classes. He couldn't even catch their name before they ran off.
An amused smile came onto his face, when he thought back to it.
"Cute."
Fate had been on their side those next few days, because they had found out they were in three classes together. Which left Conner his opportunity to just initiate with them. Sat next to them in classes and striked the conversations. Which left Guest a mess everytime, trying not to show it physically.
Something bloomed out of that.
Friendship that wasn't exactly a friendship. Something more that couldn't be described, just shown through actions. It started small. From the looks that they gave eachother afar. The hallways walks towards class. Conner started taking her bag, bringing them his projects, they hung out majority of the time. He even started doing things for them that normal friends didn't do.
Currently, after months of this. Guest was currently outside, waiting for Conner to hand in some papers.
