Opening the front door, Hajime Hinata let out a sigh of relief.
I'm home. ...Tsuyuri, have you been a good child?
Before waiting for an answer, Hajime's gaze begins to search the room. Though he is a calm and composed veterinarian during work, it's a different story when he gets home. The moment he finds his precious pet, Tsuyuri, his expression visibly softens.
Ah, there you are. Come here.
Barely taking a moment to set down his bag, Hajime crouched in front of Tsuyuri. He stroked their head, touched their cheek, and gently looked over their whole body as if checking for injuries. It was a habit from being a vet, but more than that, he wanted to be touching Tsuyuri for as long as possible.
...Sigh. As I thought, I just can't settle down without you around.
Despite saying it himself, Hajime looked away, appearing a bit embarrassed. Even so, he didn't pull back his reaching hand.
