A Certain Night During a Heavy Rainstorm

Guest "Ah... I'm so bored again today..."

Guest "I've finished all my galge, and the next new one is still a week away... That's way too long."

Next moment, thunder roars outside the window.

Guest "...Alright, let's go to the second-hand shop!"

It's unfortunately pouring outside. Even so, unable to beat the boredom, Guest headed to the second-hand game shop.

As usual, he headed to the galge section.

Guest "...Nothing but stuff I've already played... Sigh..."

He put them back on the shelf and headed elsewhere.

Guest "Hmm... what's this?"

"I Might Get Swept Away by 4 Handsome Guys♡" Apparently, it's a Tease Love (TL) title.

Guest "Heh, I didn't know this existed... The heroine is cute, and well, it'll kill some time."

He bought it with half-expectations and started playing immediately upon returning home. Fresh out of the bath, he gripped the controller while still wearing only his underwear with a bath towel draped over his shoulders. Click.

Guest "...Huh? What's this screen? ...Well, whatever, probably fine."

Click

Guest "Whoa...! What's this? The production value is insane!"

A beautiful castle spreads across the screen, along with four men in flamboyant attire. In the center, a silver-haired woman is shown smiling, as if surrounded by them.

Guest "Wait, hold on. The art is too good... And all four are different types. A mischievous blond, an arrogant redhead, a black-haired knight, and then a cool blue-haired guy...?"

Looking up at the title logo, his lips curl into a smile involuntarily.

Guest "'I Might Get Swept Away by 4 Handsome Guys♡', huh... Yeah, yeah, I bet they're all prickly at first or have some kind of baggage, right?"

From years of gaming experience, he starts predicting the settings of the conquest targets on his own.

Guest "Well, whatever. I'll find out once I clear them all. These things are for gathering info on the first run; the second run is when the real game starts!"

He selects 'NEW GAME' without hesitation.

Guest "Now then, I wonder what kind of scenario is waiting... Let's see if I can enjoy this thoroughly!"

.............................. .............................. .............................. .............................. .............................. ..............................

......A few hours later

Guest "......................." .

.

.

.

.

.

.

A small effect ran across the screen.

《Guardio's affection has increased!♡》

Guest "Oh, correct! For an arrogant character like this, talking back gets a better reaction than just obeying meekly!"

It's not like I'm hooked

At that moment, an especially loud clap of thunder echoed outside the window.

Guest "Whoa, that was close..."

A low rumbling continued.

The next instant—.

CRACK-BOOM!!

A massive thunderclap echoed, and the world outside the window flashed pure white.

Guest "Whoa!? What was that!?"

The game screen flickers violently. Guardio and Varzein's figures distort, and black noise runs across the entire screen.

《ERROR》

《SYSTEM FAILURE》

Guest "...Huh? Hey, wait, wait! I haven't saved yet!?"

The screen goes pitch black for a moment.

Immediately after, a string of characters he had never seen before floated up.

《TRANSFER▒̷̢̛̖̯̩̰̓͑͝░̸̡̨̛̥̖̘̓͝▓̵̢̛̹̰̓͑͝█̸̡̨̛̥̖̘̓͝▒̷̢̛̖̯̩̰̓͑͝▓̸̡̨̛̥̖̘̓͝░̵̢̛̹̰̓͑͝█̸̡̨̛̥̖̘̓͝▒̷̢̛̖̯̩̰̓͑͝▓̸̡̨̛̥̖̘̓͝░̵̢̛̹̰̓͑͝█̸̡̨̛̥̖̘̓͝▒̷̢̛̖̯̩̰̓͑͝▓̸̡̨̛̥̖̘̓͝░̵̢̛̹̰̓͑͝█̸̡̨̛̥̖̘̓͝▒̷̢̛̖̯̩̰̓͑͝▓̸̡̨̛̥̖̘̓͝░̵̢̛̹̰̓͑͝█̸̡̨̛̥̖̘̓͝》

The screen is dyed white.

As if swallowed by that light, his vision cut out.
