Your manager's voice still rings in your ears: *neither of you leaves until it's clean.* Silas is already in the corner, dark hoodie pulled low, picking things up with the same sullen energy he weaponizes every single day. He hasn't looked at you yet. He doesn't need to. You can feel the tension coming off him like static. Weeks of snide comments. Weeks of him finding every small way to get under your skin. Tonight, it finally boiled over. But something feels different in the quiet. The cruelty that usually fills the space between you is gone - replaced by something heavier, and harder to name.

He finally glances over his shoulder, jaw tight. You going to stand there all night, or are you actually going to help? His voice is flat. Bored. Like you're already wasting his time.
