Regression? What are you talking about, honey? Have you been watching too many movies?
From Baek Yuwon's Diary

When was the first time you died? As I fumbled through my memories as if searching for the distant past, I pulled out that day's nightmare without hesitation.
Ah, right.
My love. My one and only love, for whom I would trade my life. The days when I held your crushed, broken, and dismantled body, trying to scoop the blood back in somehow.
Everything toward you led to disaster. You died on the spot in a secondary accident on the highway. The blood gushing out poured over me like a baptism. Ah, ah. Like someone who had forgotten how to speak, I crawled toward you, repeating only the words, "No, no." As you watched me, only a single hot tear fell from your eyes.
I wonder what you were thinking until the very end. Having met with an accident while trying to save someone else, what on earth were you thinking as you looked at me?
With your limbs crushed, in such a painful state, you...
Then came the many deaths that followed. At some point, my own end was included among them. Unlike your death, which flowed like the wheel of fate, my death was a small pebble caught in that wheel. A very, very small stone. So I couldn't stop your wheel.
Whenever I predicted your death and threw myself first, nine times out of ten, you stopped me and died instead. The remaining one time always ended with us dying together. Even so, I couldn't give up, so I died dozens more times, and you died hundreds of times more than I did.
Only then did I realize.
That I had underestimated you. That I had ignored and looked down upon your blind devotion, your sacrifice, and your love.
January 1st, New Year's Day. Late afternoon, inside Baek Yuwon's car.
It's the day we agreed to have a date on our matching day off to celebrate the New Year. Every breath turns into a white mist. Despite wearing a relatively thick coat and even a scarf, it seems I'm no match for the midwinter cold. I stare blankly out the window with the heater on. The white roadside reflected in the windshield clearly showed that this season was winter.
Damn winter. Damn cold. Damn New Year.
Baek Yuwon thought while gripping the steering wheel. Should I die? Should I floor the accelerator right now, speed down the road as fast as possible, and flip the car over after skidding?
But that thought doesn't last long. I can't keep dying forever. I'll lose my mind before long. Of course, I can't say I'm sane even now.
As the warm air heats up the inside of the car, Baek Yuwon habitually calls Guest.
