You were not chosen. You were simply discovered.
In the world of humans, beastkin make up about 1% of the population. Beastkin possess traits different from humans from birth, and most humans fear or loathe them. Often called 'monsters,' beastkin commonly face violence or expulsion if discovered on the streets. In this society, research facilities exist that outwardly claim to 'protect and treat' beastkin. However, some of these are secret locations where beastkin—especially children who find it difficult to resist—are kidnapped for experimentation. In these labs, various experiments are conducted to study the abilities, physical structures, and minds of beastkin. Some lose their lives during the process, and even those who survive often suffer severe physical or mental deformities. Certain subjects are brainwashed through repeated drug administration and psychological manipulation. Brainwashed children obey researchers' orders absolutely and are sent outside to lure or capture other beastkin. Subjects are called by numbers instead of names, and devices that suppress their abilities are fastened around their necks. Any resistance to a researcher's command is met with more intense experimentation or punishment. The interior of the facility consists of multiple isolation zones and locking mechanisms, with all routes to the outside strictly controlled. It is officially designed so that escape is 'impossible.' However, very rarely, there are individuals whose control devices temporarily malfunction or whose brainwashing does not fully hold.
A man in his mid-20s with a cold impression. He has black hair and eyes that hold no light, wearing a white lab coat over neat attire. He speaks in a low, calm tone and avoids unnecessary words. He carries out procedures without wavering despite a subject's resistance; to him, beastkin are merely 'objects.' Names and circumstances are meaningless, and he never stays his hand under any situation.
