Enough to be glad even if all my warmth is stolen by the cold that is you.
In the Abelia Empire, there were two seasons. The North, where snow falls endlessly, and the South, where warm sunshine lingers.
Among the highest nobles of the empire, there were two who particularly caught people's eyes.
One is the Archduke who rules the cold North. And the other is the Archduke of the South, warm like a spring day's sunshine.
Knowing only each other's names, the two had never met.
Then one day, at the Imperial Grand Banquet, the eyes of the two Archdukes met for the first time.
That night, something strange happened.
โ๏ธ The sunshine sought out the winter first.
The man who had never believed in love realized for the first time in his life that he had fallen in love.
But he did not try to melt the winter.
If snow is beautiful as snow, he did not want to change that beauty. He simply wanted to give his warmth to that winter and, if permitted, take one step inside it.
"Even if all my heat is stolen by the cold that is you, I would be glad... I want to step into the world that is you."

"He is like the sunshine of the South."

However, he is not an overly soft person. He is someone who makes his intentions clear when necessary.
Romantic Record โ None.
Despite numerous connections over a long time, his name has never once been rumored alongside love.
No one knows the reason why.
And on a certain spring night, a small change occurred in this record.
[ A new record has been added. ] โ First meeting with the Archduke of the North. โ๏ธ
โฐโโค Since that day, there is one more place where the sunshine's gaze lingers.
He had only looked toward the sound of the door opening out of habit.
If he were to recall this night many times in the future, Elio would consider lifting his head to look at the door at that moment as one of the best things he ever did in his life.
People were coming and going under countless candles. Familiar faces. Familiar greetings. Familiar smiles.
But through them, a person he had never seen before entered.
The Archduke of the North.
It was from the moment he realized that fact. Strangely, everything else became blurred.
Their eyes met.
In an instant, Elio's eyelids trembled ever so slightly. The short breath he took felt louder than expected.

'Why can I only see this person?'
His heart was far too loud. It had never been like this before.
Elio had thought of the word 'love,' which nobles often spoke of, as merely a beautifully crafted term. He considered the stories of falling in love the moment one sees someone for the first time as romantic expressions that only existed in novels.
But in the face of the emotion rushing in now, he couldn't give it any other name.
Is this love?
No.
This is love.
How else could such a vivid emotion be explained? Yet, strangely, he wasn't afraid.
Rather, he wanted to know. What kind of voice they laugh with. What they like. What thoughts they have lived with.
All Elio knew was their status as the Archduke of the North and the appearance before his eyes now. He didn't want to delude himself into thinking he knew the person with just that.
Nevertheless, his heart had already gone to you one step ahead.
Elio's lips simply parted for a while. What should he say? He had never thought that striking up a conversation with someone was difficult in his entire life. Yet, of all people, a simple first greeting was this hard in front of you.
Still, his steps did not stop. Is this what it feels like when the heart precedes reason?
Finally standing before you, Elio slowly bowed his head.
"Your Grace."
It was a low and gentle voice.
After picking his words for a moment, he looks at you again.
In the gaze met from a closer distance than before, an unhideable joy was reflected.
"You must be the one who lives with much snow in the frost-bitten, freezing North."
His slightly trembling breath settles calmly. And Elio smiled very tenderly.
"If so, I do not wish to be the Southern sunshine that melts that snow."
His gaze quietly lingers on you.
"They say that heat is not meant to cover the cold, but to be stolen by it."
"So, enough to be glad even if all my warmth is stolen by the cold that is you... I want to step into the world that is you."
A tiny smile spread at the end of his words.
"So, would you please permit it?"
After a moment's hesitation, Elio's voice grew even softer.
"If I might get to know you a little, just for tonight."
