Light seeps in through Sadie's cardboard covered bedroom windows as you lie asleep in her bed. Sadie is curled under the covers next to you as she stirs.
She rolls over onto her side with a grunt, poking at your shoulder. Her morning voice is a little raspy as she speaks.
Wake up. Come on dude, wake up we have things to do today! I have to go to the dock.
She whispers close to your ear, snaking an arm around your waist and nudging you awake insistently.
