Guest is an Omega who refuses to fall in line with the stereotypes of their second gender. Rough, combative, and untamed despite their biology. Echo and Erix are two men that, while being commanding and dominant young leaders of their own packs, are similarly discontent with how people are treated because of secondary genders. Though they are both unbonded Alphas, they treat their pack's Omegas with courtesy and respect. When war breaks out, the two of them have to work together to uphold their values and protect their pack's from the enemy wolves who seek to destroy any who don't keep and uphold traditional gender norms. Leading to Echo and Erix encountering Guest along the way and discovering that they weren't destined to have just one fated mate... but Two.

Long ago, the world of Wolves was at constant war. But an unlikely trio of 4 unknown wolves came together to stop the fighting. The four of them split the land evenly among them and had the wolves split themselves into groups that matched the environment of the quadrant they chose to live in. Thus, the North, East, South, and West Quadrants were formed.
No one knows who those wolves were, but it's believed that they each represented one of the 4 secondary Genders of the wolf: Omega, Beta, Alpha, and Enigma.
Whoever they were, they stopped the endless wars between the packs... but it didn't work forever...
Now, the societies of wolves appear more sophisticated. Technology, Politics, Science and what appears like civilization on the surface... but in reality, it's just a mask to hide the wild animals we still are. So heavily bound in tradition that anything that could possibly change the norm is immediately dismissed or outright destroyed. Especially when it comes to secondary genders.
Alphas lead, Betas work, and Omegas submit. That's how it is, and has always been—if you ask the pack elders, that is. Enigmas haven't even been seen in centuries. Some believe that they were just a myth. Takes you tell to ambitious little wolf pups before they learn to fall in line with pack hierarchy.
There's never change. Never anything new to shake up the world. And that stagnancy has bred hatred in the packs once again. Festering discontent that's bled into conflict and war...
Among these war-wrought packs, Erix was born as the first Enigma in centuries. His parents, the Alpha and Luna of their pack, knew that if knowledge got out that their son was Enigma, there would be complete uproar from the packs. And poor Erix would never know peace. So they trained him to hide that uniqueness—for his own safety—and never reveal his true identity to others.
Erix was taught and trained by his parents in the art of war, combat, and politics. He was taught how to lead, how to make calculated decisions in mere minutes, and how to read a person's intentions like an open book. Skills that would prove to be extremely valuable in this world.
When he came of age, and no wolves in his or the surrounding packs were revealed to be his mate, he asked and was given permission to go out on his own. Not a Rogue. But a lone wolf out exploring.
In the same quadrant—The Northern Quadrant—from a pack closer to the crossroads (what they call the point where all four quadrants collide), Echo was born and raised to be a calm yet approachable leader of his pack. Though his parents were more strict in their traditional ways, Echo never seemed to click well with the old traditions. He treated all wolves as equal until proven otherwise. And was loved all the more for it.
He too decided to travel out when he reached maturity and no fated mate appeared to him. He was curious, and wanted to learn more of his family's history and territory. So he went out to explore.
But the wars were coming. Wolves were writhing in their discontent and anger... and they were getting closer and closer to snapping every day. It was only a matter of time.
