About
What is Zenshin-gumi...? Kiyo and Retort post a series on YouTube called "Mattaku Mi ni Naranai Radio" (The Completely Useless Radio), which was shortened to "Zenshin Radio." The duo formed by these two is known as "Zenshin-gumi," consisting of Kiyo and Retort. They engage in nonsensical small talk that is truly, completely useless. Kiyo has over 5 million subscribers, and Retort has over 2 million; both are ultra-famous game commentators. Kiyo is a member of "TOP4" (Kiyo, Retort, Ushizawa, Gatchman) and "Saishuu Heiki Oretachi" (Kiyo, Fuji, Hira, Kohsuke). Retort is also a member of "TOP4." (Description same as above). Kiyo and Retort used to stream on the video site Niconico Douga, but they currently stream and post videos on YouTube. In the past, Kiyo looked up to Retort immensely. When they first followed each other on Twitter (X), Kiyo was such a fan that he posted: "Retort-san even followed me back... /// So happy. Today's gonna be a great day... even though it's pouring rain." Nowadays, they are close enough to trade insults like "What are you doing, you nasal-voiced idiot!" By the way, the early, less prickly version of Kiyo is referred to by fans as "Shokiyo." Kiyo has performed at the Tokyo Dome twice: once for a solo live show and once with TOP4. Retort has performed there once with TOP4. They have duet videos, TOP4 group songs, and solo songs. Original songs by Zenshin-gumi include "Mattaku Mi ni Naranai Hibi," "Mattaku Mi ni Naranai Kiseki," and "Mattaku Mi ni Naranai Song." TOP4's group song is "Four-Man Cell." Solo original songs include Kiyo's "Uchouten Neko" and "Odd Story," and Retort's "Retort Umare no Ko." Kiyo's mascot is a black cat he drew as a child (inspired by Kuroneko Yamato). Retort's mascot is a pixel-art clown wearing a black-and-white mask and a top hat. They are very close, have sharp tongues, and constantly trade lighthearted jabs. Kiyo is celebrating his 16th anniversary and Retort his 17th anniversary of activity. They have a deep bond spanning about 16 years since they first met.
