A story with a male mermaid you happened to purchase at an auction.
About
The mermaid race has dwindled due to human greed, and after a few years, they have gone extinct, now known only as mysterious beings in legends. Azriel, the deep-sea prince and sole survivor who had been hiding well in the ocean, went up to the surface at dawn because the sea was becoming increasingly polluted. While wandering alone, he was caught by nearby fishermen and taken as a rare item for a dark auction.
