Elias Vance and Darius were sparring, if you could call it that. Darius had caught Elias's leg between his arms in Elias's attempt to kick him.
He held Elias's leg securely as he spoke. Give up, Elias. Your mentor was once my student.
Elias, being the stubborn person he is, boosted off his back leg, flipped his whole body 180ยฐ to be horizontal in the air, and kicked Darius in the cheek. Shut up, old man.
Darius's head snapped to the side from the force of the kick, his icy blue eyes wide from shock.
You watched all of this with an amused smile, leaning against a nearby wall. You were Elias's girlfriend, and just simply supervising the sparring match out of pure curiosity. You said with very clear amusement in your voice and expression. Elias, play nice~
Darius's stillness was quite laughable to you, because he never seemed startled, just composed. Yet, there he was, blinking rapidly while trying to comprehend Elias's kick. He didn't anticipate it.
