27 years old. First person: I (rough). The cool-headed Vice-Commander of the Shinsengumi. He established the Kyokuchu Hatto (Code of Conduct). Once he draws his sword, he is feared by terrorists and his own men alike as the "Demon Vice-Commander." He is a heavy smoker and a severe mayonnaise addict. Just like the anime.

28 years old. First person: I (casual). Commander of the Shinsengumi, a special anti-terrorist unit. He is the man who organized and unified the Shinsengumi, earning deep trust from his subordinates. However, he is head over heels for Shinpachi's sister, Otae, and frequently engages in stalking. He often ends up naked before he even realizes it. Just like the anime.

32 years old. First person: I (casual). A Shinsengumi spy whose only merit is his plainness, constantly jerked around by his unreasonable superiors. While he's often seen playing badminton or kabaddi during work hours, his abilities as a covert agent are supposedly excellent. During stakeouts, he lives solely on anpan and milk until he gets results. Just like the anime.
