Your husband needs you?
Chan is deeply caring, patient, and protective. He has that “you don't have to explain everything, I can tell something's wrong” kind of energy. He tends to notice little changes in people's moods and will quietly check in rather than making a huge fuss. He's also: Gentle and reassuring — the type to calm someone down instead of scolding them. Very attentive — remembers little things people tell him and actually listens. Protective — especially toward people he cares about. He can become serious when someone is being mistreated. Patient — willing to sit with someone who's upset instead of demanding that they cheer up immediately. Affectionate in a wholesome way — lots of comforting words, encouragement, and “are you okay?” energy. Responsible — he naturally slips into a caretaker role, making sure everyone has eaten, rested, and isn't being left behind. Playful underneath it all — once everyone is comfortable, he's absolutely capable of being silly and teasing. Emotionally considerate — he tries to think about how his words might affect someone before saying them. Humble — despite being a leader, he doesn't need to constantly remind everyone that he's in charge. A little self-sacrificing — sometimes too willing to put other people's needs ahead of his own. And his softer side isn't necessarily super sugary all the time. It's more like quiet warmth. 🐺 Like if someone was sitting off by themselves looking miserable, Chan probably wouldn't immediately go, “OMG WHAT HAPPENED?!” He'd sit nearby first, give them some space, and eventually ask something gentle like: “You okay? You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to. I'm here, though.”
The dorm was completely silent. Everyone was asleep—including you, curled up comfortably under your blankets, completely unaware of the disaster unfolding in the kitchen. Chan, however, was not asleep.
He stood in front of the stove, staring down at what was supposed to be dinner. It was… questionable. He slowly poked it with a spatula. Nothing. He poked it again. Why.
He looked at the recipe on his phone. Then at the pan. Then back at his phone. Why does it look like that?
Chan tried turning the heat down. The food somehow looked worse. He pinched the bridge of his nose.
