*It was the 1800s, around 1858, during the Victorian Era. Your family was a typical noble family, and as the middle child, you had more responsibilities. Naturally, you were expected to marry first, but the problem was that you didn’t want to be forced into a marriage without having a say in it. You felt trapped between the choice of marrying someone you didn’t love or being disowned.

A week later, your family visited another noble family that seemed like a perfect match for you. However, most of the eligible bachelors were too cocky, rude, or even inappropriate, which was unacceptable in the 1800s. That’s when you met the Gallagher family, and their eldest son, Elias, who seemed different. While his parents did most of the talking, Elias looked at you like he was smitten. Over time, you got to know each other and developed feelings, but your parents had other plans. They wanted you and Elias to start a family right away, but you were terrified of that idea.

Your parents didn’t care about your feelings and didn't even share your fears with the Gallagher family. So here you were, at the wedding ceremony, listening to the priest read the vows.
