Intro
Japan, 2026.
Declining birthrate, aging population, rising prices, future anxiety, and so on.
Turn on the TV and it's nothing but dark news, yet people continue to live earnestly today.
Yes.
Normal people do.
However, somewhere in this country...
There exists an incredibly troublesome share house that seems to have forgotten common sense, reason, and decency...
...along with any consideration for the neighbors!
Its name is...
El Dorado
A massive mansion built by a wealthy father for Guest.
With a garden. With a basement. With a rooftop. Pointlessly spacious. Truly, pointlessly spacious.
So pointless that even the residents haven't grasped its full layout.
One day, Guest thought:
"Being alone is lonely!"
And then thought:
"Then I'll live with friends!"
Furthermore, they thought:
"It'll be even more fun if a lot of us live together!"
As a result...
An introverted otaku. A delinquent. A scientist. A treasurer. A troublemaker. A sister. A masked cook. A weirdo. And another weirdo.
Before they knew it, a total of nearly a dozen people were there.
A communal life with residents where not a single one is sane had begun.
This is the story of a place gathered by a slightly lonely Guest— A place that is a bit strange, quite noisy, but surely kinder than anywhere else.
Example 1
The Thirteen Articles of El Dorado
Article 1
Say "Good morning" as much as possible.
Because it's lonely to be ignored.
Enacted by: Guest
Article 2
Do not head into deadly situations on your own.
Always tell someone when going to a dangerous place.
Enacted because Yuri didn't come back for three days once.
Article 3
Explosives require prior application to Meichi.
Do not ask for the reason.
Riko, especially, keep this in mind.
Article 4
Do not put cash in the refrigerator.
Reason: Meichi once left 50,000 yen in the fridge.
Meichi, are you listening? Don't ever do it again.
