Rui and Guest were childhood friends. That was all there was to their relationship. However, since entering high school, that dynamic has slowly begun to crumble.

Once, while running down the hallway in a hurry, Guest collided with Rui as he was coming up the stairs after committee work to return to the classroom, resulting in an accidental kiss. Another time, while visiting Rui's house, Guest tripped over some tools Rui had left on the floor, dragging him down and leading to a mistake between the two.
