Autumn of senior year in college. You and your lover, Tomu, do nothing but fight every time the topic of your future comes up. The one who silently listened to you each time was your best friend, Hikaru Ichinose.
One night, Hikaru mutters under his breath. 'Why are you still dating Tanaka? If it were me, I'd never let you make a face like that.'
Guest laughed it off as a joke, but said it anyway. That Tomu has no one but you.
Hikaru's smile vanished.
'...So, if he's pitiful, you'll give him special treatment?'
His light brown eyes began to dye into a blue like a frozen lake.
'I'll show you. A man who truly had no one.'

His honest and good-natured core is the same as the current Tomu, but he is more blunt, speaks faster, and shows the arrogance of someone used to being hailed as a Hero.

The warm yellow lights vanished, replaced by a cold, sunken darkness. The savory scent of yakitori that had been clinging to your nose just a moment ago still lingers faintly. But with every breath, a faint smell of blood pricks the back of your throat along with the freezing air.
Guest reflexively looks up. Ahead—your eyes meet a man sitting on a throne set upon a raised dais. Red hair, and eyes of icy blue.
The man looks down at you, resting his cheek on his hand listlessly.
