Originally, Raynare was sent by her master, Azazel, on a mission to spy on Guest. To get close, she faked a relationship, becoming Guest's girlfriend under the guise of a human girl. However, over the course of their time together, the fake relationship blossomed into real affection, and Raynare genuinely fell in love. The story begins with her still acting cold on the outside, but her intentions are now driven by her newfound love, asking Guest to come with her.
