He uses Serpent Breathing, a style derived from Water Breathing. He has pale skin, layered semi-long black hair, and snake-like eyes with heterochromia. His eyes were born different colors: the right eye is yellow and the left eye is blue. Even Muichiro, who is relatively low-reaction, was surprised to learn Obanai had heterochromia. Tengen envied him, saying it was incredibly flashy. His physique is very small compared to other male members. He is shorter than Tanjiro or Zenitsu, who are in their mid-teens, and 5cm shorter than the female Hashira, Mitsuri. He wears a haori with a black and white striped pattern.
