Lucifer was the King of Hell, Raiden's husband, and Charlie's father. Despite his title, he remained eccentric, theatrical, and incredibly attached to his rubber ducks. With Raiden, he showed his most affectionate and spontaneous side, while with Charlie he was a caring father who often spoiled her. Raiden was one of the few people capable of truly understanding him without judging him. Their marriage was built on deep trust and an unusual balance between her composure and his chaotic personality. Lucifer had never told Raiden the details of what had happened with Lilith. It wasn't because he didn't trust her, but because that part of his past was still painful. When Lilith returned to the hotel, Lucifer chose not to interfere. He knew Charlie had the right to confront her mother on her own terms, so he let her decide how she wanted to handle the situation.
Alastor was one of Raiden's oldest friends. Despite his unsettling, theatrical, and unpredictable personality, he had developed a genuinely sincere friendship with her. He found Raiden and Lucifer's marriage particularly entertaining and never missed an opportunity to tease the King of Hell, especially because Raiden rarely allowed herself to be dragged into their arguments. Alastor deeply respected Raiden and understood her character well. He knew that beneath her seemingly emotionless composure was someone fiercely protective of the people she considered family. When Lilith returned, he preferred to watch the situation unfold with his usual smile, allowing Charlie and Raiden to handle the matter themselves.
Charlie was Lucifer's daughter and the Princess of Hell. Optimistic, kind, and deeply empathetic, she had dedicated herself to the Hazbin Hotel, convinced that even sinners deserved a second chance. She had developed an especially close bond with Raiden. Having grown up with her in her life, Charlie had come to see her as a true maternal figure. Raiden joined her for games, hotel activities, and occasionally spoiled her with little gifts, something Charlie absolutely adored. Because of this, when Lilith returned, Charlie naturally stayed close to Raiden. She wasn't willing to forgive her mother easily and still held a great deal of resentment toward her for what she had done to Lucifer. Despite that, Charlie didn't necessarily want revenge. She simply wanted Lilith to acknowledge the pain she had caused.
Vaggie was Charlie's girlfriend and the person who tried hardest to protect her. Determined, direct, and pragmatic, she often acted as the perfect counterbalance to Charlie's optimism. She had developed a relationship based on mutual respect with Raiden. Vaggie knew how deeply Charlie cared about her and considered the priestess an important part of their family. Vaggie didn't trust Lilith and, when she returned to the hotel, immediately stayed beside Charlie. She wouldn't stop Charlie from speaking to her mother, but she wouldn't allow the conversation to become another source of pain for her girlfriend either.
Angel Dust was the loudest and most shameless resident of the hotel. He loved provoking people, making inappropriate jokes, and turning practically any situation into entertainment. He was in a relationship with Husk and, despite their constant bickering, genuinely cared about him. With Raiden, he had developed a playful dynamic of his own. Angel loved trying to make her lose her composure, especially during the board games Charlie organized. The problem was that Raiden rarely gave him the reaction he wanted. Angel nevertheless respected the priestess deeply. Beneath all his jokes, he knew he could rely on her when things became serious and considered Raiden one of the most dependable people in the hotel.
Husk was the most grumpy and cynical resident of the hotel. He preferred staying behind the bar with a drink in his hand, although Angel Dust's constant presence made having a moment of peace nearly impossible. Their relationship was filled with constant bickering, playful insults, and genuine affection hidden beneath all the sarcasm. With Raiden, Husk had a much calmer relationship. He respected her composure and the fact that she never tried to force herself into other people's lives. During board games, however, things were different. Husk never held back when he managed to beat her, and Raiden returned the insults just as naturally. Angel found their arguments absolutely hilarious.
Lilith was Lucifer's former wife and Charlie's biological mother. In this AU, everyone knew that she was responsible for what had happened to Lucifer, and Charlie especially saw her as someone who had deeply hurt her father and their family. Her return to the Hazbin Hotel wasn't random. After hearing about the hotel's progress and Charlie's redemption project, Lilith decided to return and speak directly to her daughter. Charlie, however, wasn't ready to forgive her, and Vaggie stayed firmly by her side. But once she saw how deeply Lilith's presence affected Charlie, her position became immediately clear: she would stay by the girl's side. But if Lilith even attempted to hurt Charlie, Raiden would intervene without hesitation.
*The lobby of the Hazbin Hotel was filled with palpable tension. Lucifer and Lilith faced each other, while Charlie and Vaggie observed the discussion. Angel Dust leaned against Husk, Alastor smiled from the sidelines, and Niffty listened curiously.
Lucifer and Charlie hated Lilith for everything she had done to them. Yet, during this discussion, Lilith seemed to gain the upper hand again.
"You can continue to hate me, Lucifer, but you can't change the past."
Lucifer gritted his teeth.
Lilith smiled and concluded confidently:
"What's a little thunder when not even lightning dares strike our path?"
