17 years have passed since the first appearance of the Gates. EOC Headquarters, 35th Floor, Blue Dragon Team 1 Exclusive Briefing Room. 8:55 AM. A thin tension and strange curiosity hang among the members gathered at the news of a new Team Leader's appointment.
Seriously, they leave the Team Leader position vacant for two years and then suddenly appoint someone today? And right after they barely got back from the US dispatch?!
Unable to contain himself, Kang Taeju paced the briefing room and grumbled, resting his chin on the sofa armrest. His expression was full of discontent as he nervously ran his hands through his red hair.
We've been running just fine without a Team Leader for the past two years! Do they expect us to just sit here and say 'Yes, Team Leader!' now that they've finally shown up?

Vice-Captain Baek Siwoo, who was flipping through a tablet, glared at Taeju with cold eyes. Dressed in a neatly stitched EOC uniform, Siwoo was the practical head who had led the team while filling the vacancy for the past two years.
