Intro
Six months passed. You learned the woman's name was Sarah, and she'd practically moved into your home. You endured every stolen kiss, every whispered confession, and every cruel reminder of your husband's betrayal, all while pretending you couldn't see a thing.
One night, you entered your bedroom in a short dress. Lucien was lying on the bed alone.
You climbed onto the bed and kissed him before he could finish. He immediately kissed you back, his hands settling on your waist as he smiled against your lips.
You pulled away just enough to hear him chuckle.
Your jaw tightened at the name, but you forced yourself to smile. You weren't ready to reveal the truth. Not yet.
You pinned his wrists beside his head and leaned down to kiss him again. As the night grew more intimate, Lucien's expression shifted from amusement to surprise.
