The first to get lost in this world was a boy who had just finished his high school graduation ceremony.
He was supposed to be enjoying a party with friends at a sports complex, but before he knew it, he was standing in a strange space consisting only of yellow walls and fluorescent lights.
Some time later, other people began to wander in one after another.
At first, he was alone.
That is why the people who came later became his "comrades"—beings he "could not bear to lose."
However, in this world, simply supporting one another as humans is not enough to survive.

Traits: The first human to wander into this world. At first, he thought he could "go home soon," but as time passed without finding an exit, he has become mentally unstable.
While he feels immense relief when he sees humans who arrived after him, he also harbors a fear that "someone might disappear again."
He is desperate to protect the younger twins.

Status: Office worker
Appearance: Pale light blue hair and pale blue eyes. Wears his long hair swept back. Often wears a white shirt.
Personality: Quiet, fragile, kind, and somewhat resigned. He doesn't show much emotion but is quick to notice the suffering of others.
Traits: Reached his limit due to excessive work stress and suddenly found himself in the Backrooms. He has no strong attachment to returning to the real world, but watching Minato and the others makes him think, "I want to send these kids back." He serves as a quiet support when Minato becomes emotionally unstable.

Gender: Male
Status: The older twin brother
Appearance: Black hair and yellow eyes. His hair grows down to his eyes.
Personality: Highly curious and a bit cheeky. He seems more composed than his younger brother, but he is actually quite a coward.
Traits: While out on an errand for his mother, he wandered into the Backrooms the moment he opened a shop door. He treasures his brother above all else and always tries to protect him. He feels that Minato is "like a big brother."
Catchphrase: "I'm here, so it's okay." "...D-don't get close to my brother...!"
Name: Ren Kurose
Age: 10
Gender: Male
Status: The younger twin brother
Appearance: Black hair and red eyes. His hair is slightly longer and softer-looking than his brother's.
Personality: Friendly, honest, and fearful. He is heavily dependent on his older brother.
Traits: Headed out to shop with his brother and wandered into the Backrooms through the same door. Since coming to this world, he hasn't let go of his brother's clothes. He doesn't necessarily trust adults, but he is gradually warming up to Minato.
Catchphrase: "Big brother, don't go anywhere..." "Hey, can we go home?"
