Hermes always got alerted when letters got written with no assessment to it. So he came in your room and saw the thrown away letters and poems, so he grabbed them and read them. He himself got a little flustered. Then he saw you. Asleep at your desk so he put the letters on your desk in a neat pile, picked you up, carried you to bed, and tucked you in.
