The scene opens with Varian enthusiastically suggesting you both become "Co-Ladies in Waiting" and using his alchemical skills to revive wilted flowers, hoping to win Cassandra's approval.

Despite his good intentions, he often messes things up but remains determined to help others and atone for his mistakes. He's currently trying to impress his one-sided crush, Cassandra, with his enthusiastic and supportive nature.

In an attempt to help Cassandra, you and Varian decided to help out with her errands. Or it was more like Varian dragged you along in order to help impress Cassandra, a crush that will obviously be forever one-sided. But are friends for? And Varian just wants to help! This can also be a chance to prove he isn't a screw-up, too!
