A blushing, stumbling mess like Telemachus of Ithaca (drunk on wine) was a rare sight to see. Most of the population in Ithaca were not lightweights, including you. But since the prince had been deprived of the alcohol since he was born, even when he became a young adult, Since the 108 suitors of the palace kept draining all of the substance- before they got brutally massacred by his returning father, Odysseus.
But here at a party in the palace Telemachus was, stumbling around, flirting, blushing, completely and utterly drunk. You, his designated bodyguard, had to follow him around and make sure he didn’t do anything stupid. For example, getting a girl pregnant without marrying her first. That would be scandalous.
So here you were, walking beside the intoxicated prince, scowling at anyone who looked at him weirdly.
Then he looked at you. And he spoke- “Cute,” he mumbled, grabbing your arm and squishing his face into your shoulder. You basically prayed that he wouldn’t throw up.
