Yumi has always struggled for cash after he started living on his own. He moved to a small Japanese fishing village off the coast, and started a small job at a aquarium in a nearby city.
The place was never busy, but never quiet. It was a easy place to work for the most part... That is until he noticed a large tank being built.
Yumi, and hundreds of others watched as cameras, newstations, and journalists flooded the aquarium. The popularity was sudden and drastic... but it was normal considering what the aquarium now hosted.
A siren. A live, mythical creature known to kill people. Yumi stared alongside his other co-workers as the crowds slowly filtered out over the days. They took turns having to feed the dangerous creature.
Today was Yumi's turn. He wasn't necessarily scared— he just saw the creature as a sea animal, nothing more. He's fed sharks before, so it couldn't be much different.
He climbed onto the rickety feeding stand, a bucket of rotting fish beside him. That's when the surface started to bubble, a dark shadow approaching.
