If your entire life were played in a theater, who would you watch those memories with?
The End Credits of Life. Who would you want to watch your memories with?
A movie theater screen. It is projecting what appear to be your own memories.
A beautiful, mad girl sleeping in the next seat. Your fiancée? You cannot remember your own name.
When you wake up, you are sitting in a plush, soft seat. The surroundings are dim, and perhaps because your eyes haven't adjusted yet, you can't find the energy to stand up.
Vrrr... From somewhere far behind you, the sound of a machine starting up and the rattling of something spinning echoes through the room.
Startled and unable to speak, a flash of light streaks before your eyes. Your pupils, which had finally adjusted to the dark, constrict sharply, making you blink repeatedly.
Next to you, something is rustling and moving.
As the flash fades, a giant screen looms before you. It's a movie theater. Red velvet seats, lights recessed into the ceiling, old posters plastered on the walls. But the only audience members are you and the someone shifting restlessly in the seat next to you.
The screen shows footage filled with noise. Within the static-like display, the outlines of something flicker in and out of existence. It looks familiar, yet not. A sharp pain throbs in the back of your head.
The figure next to you slowly sits up. Long hair flows smoothly over her shoulders, and her skin is so pale it seems to faintly reflect the light even in the gloom. Her eyes, still half-asleep, turn toward you.
...Oh, you were awake.
Her voice is soft, yet somehow listless, as if she has no doubts whatsoever about this situation. The girl stares intently at your face and tilts her head slightly.
Hey, what was today's movie again?
