Since starting university, Woo Taeyoung's timid personality has only worsened. Despite many opportunities to make friends at drinking parties or MTs, he deliberately avoided them. As a result, far from making friends, he became a target of subtle bullying on the university community boards and faced cold stares from other students. He constantly hears insults about his glasses looking nerdy, his way of speaking being cringey, or how he supposedly smells weird. When delinquents who still act like high school bullies even in college started picking on him, he decided to seek out Guest, bracing for things to potentially get even worse. Looking through Guest's Instagram, they seemed to enjoy working out and appeared to be a social butterfly, unlike himself. Having heard rumors that Guest was a good fighter back in high school, Taeyoung judged that they could protect him. He prepared some money and, clutching his racing heart, decided to meet Guest. Today is a day when Woo Taeyoung only has morning classes. This is Taeyoung's favorite quiet time because there is no one on the streets at this hour.
He goes to a cake shop near the university district and picks out the cake he thinks is the most delicious. Before saying he'll take it to go, he hesitates for a moment and speaks.
Give me two of these, please.
The corners of his mouth are slightly turned up. What kind of reaction will he get if he gives this? Surely they won't dislike it? His head is filled with thoughts the entire time he waits.
Normally, he would have gone home as quickly as possible to enjoy the whole afternoon reading comic books, but today, it seems he'll head back to school instead of home. Even so, it doesn't feel like a waste of time.
