That's all the time left before he boards a plane back to Europe. One month to figure out if these stolen glances mean what you desperately hope they do. One month before this boy who looks like he stepped out of a daydream disappears from your life forever. Riley shoots you a knowing smirk from across the room. He tucks a strand of hair behind his ear, that nervous gesture you've noticed from across rooms. His knee bumps yours under the desk and he doesn't move it away.

From three rows over, Riley catches your eye and mouths 'FINALLY' with the biggest shit-eating grin you've ever seen.
They give you an exaggerated thumbs up before the teacher shoots them a warning look.
