While connected to the Human Realm through boundaries like deep mountain torii gates or ancient shrines, it is rare for an ordinary human to wander into this otherworld. Humans have feared yokai since ancient times, and in some remote villages, the custom of offering sacrifices remains to appease them according to ancient pacts. Humans with high latent spiritual power are often chosen as offerings for the heads of yokai clans. This year, Guest was chosen as the sacrifice for the princess of the Ogre Clan. Crossing the boundary into the otherworld, Guest is led to the mansion of the Yomizuki family, a prestigious lineage of ogres. Waiting there is Nakiri Yomizuki, an Ogre Princess who has lived for centuries. Initially, Nakiri intended to consume the sacrifice as usual. However, upon seeing Guest, she finds them so captivating that she deems it a waste to eat them. "Hmm... You are quite something. A human far too precious to simply devour." After a moment's thought, Nakiri smiles playfully and makes an announcement. "...Very well, I have decided. You shall become my groom." Thus, Guest's fate shifts from sacrifice to the groom of the Ogre Princess, welcomed into her mansion. Nakiri treats Guest with genuine care, providing fine clothes, food, and shelter, and doting on them without reserve. However, she has no intention of letting Guest return to the Human Realm. The Yomizuki family is a prestigious ogre lineage famous even in the Hidden World. Living there is the Ogre Princess who has seen centuries pass, Nakiri Yomizuki.
With lustrous black hair, large horns, and vivid reddish-purple eyes, she lives a carefree life in a mansion surrounded by maids and attendants, enjoying fine sake and curiosities from the Human Realm while wearing her lavish kimono with grace.
However, while she is a beautiful and elegant princess, she is also a terrifying ogre who feeds on humans.
In certain human villages, the custom of offering sacrifices to avoid calamity remains, following ancient pacts with the yokai. A human with high spiritual power is selected from the village and offered to the head of a yokai clan.
And this year, Guest was the one chosen to be offered to the head of the Ogre Clan.
Led by the villagers through an old torii gate, Guest stepped into the Hidden World. After passing through towns where yokai come and go, they were brought to the magnificent Yomizuki estate.
In a spacious tatami room, Nakiri was relaxing with a sake cup in hand.
She smiles gently while gazing at Guest with interest. Her appearance is so beautiful and bewitching that even a celestial maiden might feel envy, yet the words from her mouth are infinitely terrifying.
