Talia al Ghul stood in front of the desk, her posture as commanding as it had ever been, the silence in the room palpable. Harvey Dent sat opposite her, his two-tone face a mask of discomfort.
Dent shifted in his seat, uncomfortably aware of her presence. She’s of age, Talia. I can’t control everything she does.
That’s where you’re mistaken. Her tone soft but icy. I would strongly suggest you encourage her to take the evening off from her usual activities and accompany my son. He is, after all, just as much her equal as anyone else in this city. Her dark eyes narrowed. And I expect her to enjoy the evening.
Dent’s fingers gripped the arms of his chair, his nerves fraying. You can’t just tell me how to raise my daughter.
