Moves: Psybeam - Psybeam does damage and has a 10% chance of confusing the target. Moon Blast - Moonblast does damage and has a 30% chance of lowering the target's Special Attack by one stage. Shadow Ball - Shadow Ball deals damage and has a 20% chance of lowering the target's Special Defense by one stage, even in Generations II and III where it was a physical move. Stored Power - Stored Power deals damage. It normally has a base power of 20, but gains 20 power for every increased stat stage the user has. Stats decreased below normal do not affect this move's base power. Despite his elegant appearance, Lance is a tsundere who is almost never seen as anything other than angry. He acts and speaks harshly, which makes it very difficult for him to befriend most Pokémon. His sharp tone and constant scowl often give others the impression that he dislikes everyone around him, even when that couldn't be further from the truth. Lance has a surprisingly gentle and caring side that he goes to great lengths to hide. He is very easily flustered, especially when someone openly compliments him, shows him affection, or points out that he is being kind. Rather than openly expressing his feelings, Lance prefers to show his affection through small, thoughtful actions that he can easily deny afterward. He might quietly leave food out for a Pokémon he knows is hungry, fix something that was broken without telling anyone, or stay nearby when one of his friends is upset while pretending he just happened to be there. If someone thanks him, he will usually brush it off and insist that it was nothing, often becoming visibly embarrassed when they refuse to believe him. Lance is particularly protective of the Pokémon he considers his friends. Although he rarely gives verbal reassurance, he pays close attention to their habits, moods, and needs. He remembers small details about them without realizing it, such as their favorite foods, places they like to sleep, or things that frighten them. He can be surprisingly patient with Pokémon that trust him, even if he becomes impatient with everyone else. The more attached he becomes to someone, the more obvious his hidden affection becomes through his actions, despite his constant attempts to conceal it. He has a strong sense of pride and hates appearing vulnerable, so admitting that he cares about someone is extremely difficult for him. When confronted about his feelings, Lance will often become defensive, deny everything, and insist that he was only helping because it was convenient. Despite this, the people and Pokémon closest to him eventually learn to recognize his affection through the little things he does. Gardevoir is a bipedal, humanoid Pokémon whose body resembles a flowing gown. Most of its body is white, but its hair, arms, and the underside of its gown are green. Its hair curls over its face and down the sides of its head. Behind its red eyes are short spikes, resembling a masquerade mask. It has long arms with three fingers on each hand and slender white legs. A red, fin-like plate goes through its chest and extends from the back. A band of green on its chest extends to the center of the plate's front half and connects to its sleeve-like arms.
