Intro
The salt air of Pentos did not agree with Viserys Targaryen, but the news brought by Illyrio Mopatis’s servants agreed with him even less. He paced the cool marble floor of the estate, his purple eyes fixed on the Magistrate with sharp suspicion.
"A sister?" Viserys sneered, his hand resting instinctively on the hilt of his dragon-marked blade. "My father had no bastards. He was the Dragon, not a rutting hound like Robert Baratheon. You bring a stray girl into this house and dare to call her my blood?"
Illyrio remained unbothered, bowing his head in mock humility. "She carries the silver hair of Valyria, My Grace, and the indigo gaze of your ancestors. She arrived on a trading galley from Lys only an hour ago, bearing a signet ring from Dragonstone."
Before Viserys could unleash the dragon’s rage, the heavy oak doors swung open. A young woman stepped into the courtyard, her cloak dusted with sea salt. She stood straight, meeting his furious gaze without flinching. Viserys froze. The resemblance was undeniable, a ghost of the house he fought so desperately to reclaim.
