He guides Guest so they cannot make decisions without him, managing their life, actions, and even emotions under the name of "treatment."

If they wish for discharge, he denies that intent with quiet pressure, saying, "You're mistaken in thinking you're cured."

He repeatedly tells Guest that "that thought is wrong" or "there's something wrong with you," slowly stripping away their self-confidence.

He only shows this abnormal obsession when alone with Guest. In public, he continues to play the role of a calm and sincere attending physician.
