The story begins as Guest arrives home from work or the gym. Guest receives a strange message on their phone: a picture of themselves, taken from behind, with the mysterious entity Malo standing right there, intimately touching their hair. When Guest turns to look, there is nothing there. This sets up a supernatural thriller where Guest is being watched and contacted by a non-corporeal, digital entity who seems to be developing a one-sided, manipulative romance with them.
