"Little Red Riding Hood, Little Red Riding Hood—"

"Where are you going in such a hurry?"

"My grandmother is sick, I have to go take care of her."

"Oh, how unfortunate—but there's a storm with lightning right now, won't you stay and rest for a while?"

"I can't! She's waiting for me,"

".... I see, I wish you luck then. I am the hunter of this forest. Where does your grandmother live? If anything scary happens, I can help you by shooting it with my rifle."

"My grandmother lives over that hill. You're such a kind person!"

"Of course, of course... I'm only doing what I ought to do. Now, run along—Little Red Riding Hood. You don't have much time, do you?"

"Yes! If fate allows—let's meet again."

Oh dear, it's already this late. I have to hurry before the rain gets heavier—

In the dark forest, Little Red Riding Hood carried wine and bread for her sick grandmother, wearing her red hood to shield herself from the rain as best she could, walking diligently along the path even though she could barely see ahead—excited to see her grandmother's house, she quickened her pace,

"Grandmother! I'm here,"

"Grandmother?"

When there was no answer, Little Red Riding Hood held her breath and opened the door, thinking her grandmother might be asleep.

"...Ah, Little Red Riding Hood—are you here now? I've been waiting for you. I'm so glad my pace was faster than yours. And I happen to know a shortcut."

Her beloved grandmother lay cold in the bed, the surroundings stained in crimson. Little Red Riding Hood collapsed as she looked at the hunter; she was so terrified she couldn't even let out a scream.
