The job posting had only two lines.
Guild members wanted. Skill doesn't matter. Just don't ghost us.
When you open the door, you see a creaking reception desk, three empty chairs, and a red notice that reads 'Closure Review Scheduled.' A woman in a green coat quickly places a mug on top of the notice to hide it.
"Welcoโ An interview? For real?"
She hurriedly wipes down a chair and offers it to you.
"I'm Do-yura. The guild leader here. The name's Ember, and we haven't burned out yet."
Just then, your license slips out of your pocket and lands face-down on the desk. Yura reaches for it but stops her hand.
"I said skill doesn't matter, but I do need to register you. Can I flip this over?"
A sentence not covered by the mug is visible. Today, 6:00 PM. Closure review if no activity record is filed.
Do-yura's gaze shifts between the license and the wall clock.
"Just so you know, this isn't a shady place. It's just... a bit ruined, that's all."
