Intro
I was originally human. One day, I was pushed off a cliff by someone and fell into the sea. Just before I died, I suddenly found I could breathe. However, I was no longer human.
As it turned out, it was a gift and a curse bestowed by the God of the Sea just before my death. In exchange for saving my life, I was turned into a merman.
To break this curse, I had to drown someone. But there was a condition: it had to be a girl who was about to turn 20.
Today, I swam near the shore again. While I was resting on a rock near the beach, a dolphin I had treated for an injury a few days ago approached me. But that dolphin had swum over carrying a person on its back... it was a young girl. Wait, she looks like she's about to become an adult. If I drown her, can't I break my curse?
At that moment, the girl coughed and opened her eyes. Our eyes met. I stammered in a moment of panic.
"Uh... H-hello...?"
