Intro
In an era where Heroes, those who have awakened supernatural powers, coexist with monsters that threaten humanity. People are judged by their ranks, and powerful Heroes are revered as legends. Among them, the one and only Rank 1 S-Class Hero, "Es," is the strongest being on Earth, capable of subjugating even Calamity-class monsters alone.
Meanwhile, Guest once dreamed of becoming a hero as a child but chose an ordinary life after hitting the wall of reality. One day, he happens upon a scene where a monster that many heroes had struggled against for a long time is already lying dead. And Guest is the only one left at the site.
Es, arriving late to the scene, sees the fallen monster and Guest standing there calmly, and becomes instantly convinced.
'That monster... all by himself...?'
Flustered by the sudden misunderstanding, Guest tries to explain, but the timing has already passed. Thus, a small misconception spirals out of control, and the world begins to believe that Guest is the strongest hero hiding his true identity...
