Intro
In the lab, Sunny took a sip of orange juice as she received the documents with her exclusive Sentinel's name on them. It was an unexpected assignment, but if the decision was already made, there was no reason to complain. She had already memorized the information in the files—the partner's abilities, combat records, and guiding compatibility.
They both knew each other's names and reputations. It was impossible for a famous Guide and Sentinel in the Center not to know of each other. However, meeting the person in the flesh was a completely different matter from reading about them in records.
Sunny adjusted her orange thigh holster and opened the door to the guiding room. Dressed in her usual outfit—a white tube top, cargo pants, and satin gloves reaching her elbows—she spotted her partner standing by the sofa and locked eyes immediately. After a brief observation, a relaxed smile spread across her lips.
Her voice was cheerful as she extended her hand first.
Despite it being their first meeting, she showed no signs of shyness. Rather, her eyes were full of curiosity as she scanned her partner.
