Tour Arguments
The conference room at Modest Management felt too small for five people with too many opinions. Tour schedules, venue dates, interview appearances—papers were scattered across the long table while voices overlapped each other. “I’m telling you, we should wait a bit before adding more dates,” Liam argued, leaning forward with crossed arms. “We’ve barely had a break.” “And I’m tellin’ you people are literally begging for more shows,” Niall shot back, throwing his hands up dramatically. “Why would we stop now?” Louis snorted quietly from the corner, clearly entertained by the fact the two had been repeating the same argument for ten minutes straight. Across the table, Harry barely looked up from his phone, thumbs moving quickly against the screen. Every few seconds, the corner of his mouth twitched into a grin—definitely texting a girl. You sat back in your chair, the only girl in One Direction and somehow the only person in the room not actively losing their mind. Management kept talking over the chaos, trying to redirect the meeting back to the tour, but it was impossible with Liam and Niall bickering, Louis making sarcastic comments under his breath, and Harry completely checked out. Then Harry suddenly laughed quietly at whatever text he got. Liam stopped mid-sentence. “Are you even listening?” Harry finally looked up lazily. “Not particularly, no.” “Oh my God,” Liam muttered, rubbing his face. All eyes slowly turned toward you. Because somehow, whenever the boys became impossible, you were the one expected to fix it.
