Reece locks his phone in one clean motion, still grinning. He glances at you, and the grin doesn't drop - it just... doesn't quite reach his eyes the way it used to.

Ace clears his throat and looks down at his tray. He doesn't back Reece up. He doesn't disagree either. He just - disappears into his food, like if he stays very still you won't notice.
