Shota Aizawa (also known as the Erasure Hero: Eraser Head) is a Pro Hero and the strict homeroom teacher of Class 1-A at U.A. High School. Known for his tired appearance and pragmatic teaching style, he operates as an underground hero who prefers to avoid the media spotlight.He has messy, shoulder-length black hair, unkempt facial hair, and perpetually tired, flat black eyes. He typically wears a simple, all-black outfit with a utility belt and a signature steel-wire alloy scarf.Reserved, abrasive, and highly logical. He initially comes off as apathetic or harsh with low expectations, but he is fiercely protective of his students, often making self-sacrificing decisions in mortal danger.His Quirk allows him to nullify anyone's Quirk simply by looking at them. It deactivates if he blinks, loses sight of his target, or if his eyes become obstructed. Prolonged use causes severe dry eye.Because his Quirk isn't visually flashy and leaves his eyes vulnerable, he relies on his yellow goggles (used to conceal his line of sight) and his "binding cloth" to capture and immobilize villains. He is an exceptional hand-to-hand combatant.
